DAY 1: FES – IFRANE – AZROU – MIDELT – ZIZ VALLEY – ERG CHEBBI DUNES AND NIGHT IN CAMP.

We will pick you up from your accommodation in Fes and take you to Ifrane, which is renowned as Morocco’s Switzerland because of its architecture. Afterwards we’ll go to Azrou to observe the monkeys in the cedar forest before stopping for lunch in Midelt. In the afternoon, we will cross the TIZI N TALGHAMT pass to Errachidia, savoring the views of the Ziz gorges. You will afterwards halt for a panoramic vista of Ziz valley. The journey continues to Erg Chebbi, passing through Aoufous and Erfoud (the latter is known for its fossils and dates), where you may want to stop and see a local fossil craft workshop. After that, you will continue your three-day private journey from Fes to Marrakech through the desert to the Erg Chebbi dunes, popularly known as the Merzouga Dunes. We prepare for an hour and a half camel trek to watch the sunset. You will go to the camp on the back of your camel and spend the night in a typical nomad tent. Dinner and a night in a camp in the heart of the sand dunes.

DAY 2: MERZOUGA – ERG CHEBBI DUNES –ERFOUD-TINEJDAD – TODRA GORGES-BOUMALNE DU DADES

Today, after getting up early to watch the sunrise, you will ride your camels back to your hotel to take a shower, eat breakfast, and then head to Todra gorges Gorge via Tinghir and the lush valley of Todra, where you will have a little hike along the narrow and high cliffs of Todra. After that, you will head back to your hotel. You will also have the opportunity to explore the breathtaking landscape of the Dades valley, which is famous for its rock formations and is also referred to as the valley of one thousand Kasbahs. Dinner and lodging in either the riad or a hotel in Dades are included in this package.

DAY 3: DADES – VALLEY OF ROSES – SKOURA –OUARZAZATE – AIT BEN HADDOU KASBAH – MARRAKECH

Today, after breakfast at the hotel, we will be traveling to Skoura via the Valley of Roses. While in Ouarzazate, we will see the kasbah of Taourirt, and then we will go to The Atlas Film Studios. Following that, you will travel to the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, where you will have lunch. After lunch, we will travel across the High Atlas range and go through the Tizin’tichka pass (2260 m in altitude). Drop off in any place in Marrakech.

DAY 1: FES – AZROU – MIDLET – ZIZ VALLEY – MERZOUGA :

After breakfast, we will come and get you up at your place of lodging and begin the journey to the city of Ifrane, which is sometimes referred to as “the Switzerland of Morocco.” We take pleasure in making a stop in the well-known cedar forest next to Azrou, where you will have the opportunity to watch Barbary apes. We also go to Midelt, and on the way there, we pass through Ziz Valley and pause to take in the scenery along the way. As we make our way to Erfoud, we will pass through several Berber settlements. After that, we will travel via Rissani before finally arriving at Merzouga. We’ll provide dinner and breakfast when you check in to our riad.

DAY 2: MERZOUGA CAMEL TREK AND OVERNIGHT IN THE SAHARA DESERT CAMP :

Today, we will travel to the village of Khamlia, home to the Gnawa people, who are originally from Mali, Senegal, and Sudan. While there, you will learn about the Gnawa people’s music as well as their way of life. After that, we are going to take a trip out into the desert to meet some nomad families and learn about their way of life. Our lunch together with a local family will be a traditional meal, and it will be served today. In the afternoon, we ride camels across the highest sand dunes in Morocco, led by a camel guide who has years of experience. You will have dinner in front of the tent that you will be staying in for the night.

DAY 3: MERZOUGA – TODRA GORGES – DADES VALLEY :

Your camel guide will wake you up very early in the morning so that you can witness the dawn in the desert. After that, we take a relaxing camel ride back to the village of Merzouga in the morning. The Rissani, Tinghir, and Todra Gorges are some of the highest and narrowest gorges in Morocco. We will depart for these gorges after breakfast. You will have the opportunity to go on a one-hour long hike within the valley while you are here. After having lunch in the middle of the gorge, you will continue on to the Dades Valley, where you will view the incredible sand castles as well as the remarkable rock formations known as “monkey toes.” Our lodging will be at a riad, and it will include both dinner and breakfast.

DAY 4: DADES VALLEY – KASBAH AIT BENHADDOU  – MARRAKECH

After breakfast, we will drive through the Dades Valley along the path of the thousand Kasbahs. We will make a stop at Kalaat Mgouna, also known as the center of roses valley, where you will have the chance to see the cooperative for the roses. We carry on to the Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, which was constructed in the 19th century by Et Hami El Glaoui, one of the last chieftains of the Berber people. The next part of our journey will take us across the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass. When we get to Marrakech, where our service will come to an end, we will check in at the hotel.

DAY 1:  FES – IFRANE – AZROU – ZIZ VALLEY – MERZOUGA :

Following breakfast, you will depart Fes for Merzouga via Midlet and the Ziz valley. Today you will journey to Ifrane, a picturesque alpine hamlet known as Morocco’s Switzerland. You’ll also visit the cedar forest in the central Atlas Mountains. On your tour, you will view the Middle Atlas and Higher Atlas mountains and stop in Azrou, a Berber town in the center of Morocco’s famed cedar forest, the largest in the country, where you will have the opportunity to observe the Barbary apes. Following that, your journey to Midelt continues via the breathtaking Atlas highlands and mountains. After lunch in Midelt, you’ll journey via the interesting Tiz Ntalghamt pass and the stunning Ziz Gorge, taking in views of the High Atlas plateau and seeing how the environment transforms to give clues of the desert as you reach the province of the south-east * Errachidia city*. Following that, you’ll journey through the beautiful Ziz Valley, pausing for panoramic vistas all the route to Erfoud and Rissani. As you arrive in Merzouga in the afternoon, you’ll be greeted with a drink of mint tea before being shown to your riad.

DAY 2: MERZOUGA – SAHARA DESERT – CAMEL TREK:

Following breakfast in your riad, you can explore the surrounding region before beginning your camel ride; you will visit the Gnawa people – originating from Mali, Senegal, and Sudan – in their hamlet Khamlia, where you will learn about their music and way of life. Afterwards, we will drive into the desert to visit nomad families and learn about their way of life. Our lunch today will be a classic Berber dish (Berber pizza). You will also have the option of seeing Rissani, the birthplace of the Alaouite dynasty, Morocco’s current governing royal family. Rissani is surrounded by around 360 ksar (fortified villages with several towers) and has a large souk (an open market) that is held three times a week. Formerly known as Sijilmassa, this was the meeting point for salt caravans traveling from Tombouctou, Mali. You’ll go through the souk, which sells spices, vegetables, and clothing. Return to the settlement of Merzouga. In the afternoon, you will ride your camel with an expert camelman to uncover what lies buried in the center of Morocco’s highest sand dunes. Dinner will be provided in front of the tent where you’ll be sleeping for the night.

DAY 3:  MERZOUGA – TODRA GORGES – DADES VALLEY:

Your camel guide will wake you up at an ungodly hour so that you can witness what could very well be the most beautiful sunrise of your entire life. You will make your way back to the village of Merzouga through a relaxing camel walk. Along the way, you won’t be able to help but marvel at the extraordinary Erg Chebbi sand dunes, which transform their appearance in response to the shifting light throughout the day. You will leave for the Rissani, Tinghir, and Todra gorges after a hot shower and breakfast. These are the highest and narrowest gorges in Morocco. After lunch in the heart of the gorge, we will drive through the Dades Valley, where you will see the magnificent sand castles and the amazing rock formations known as “monkey toes.” The accommodations for the night will be at a posh traditional guesthouse with a view of the Dades valley, and both dinner and breakfast will be provided.

DAY 4: DADES VALLEY – BOUTAGHRAR – SKOURA – OUARZAZATE:

After breakfast at your Riad, we will start our journey to Marrakech and make a stop at Ait Benhaddou Kasbah along the road. One of the last Berber chieftains, Thami El Glaoui, was responsible for the construction of this enormous Kasbah, which is the largest in all of Morocco. That used to be one of his stops along the route on his long journey from the Desert to Marrakech. His final destination was Marrakech. Since that time, Unesco has recognized it as a site of global heritage significance. You will continue on your journey to Marrakech by traversing the spectacular High Atlas Mountains via the Tizin’tichka Pass, which is located at an elevation of 2,260 meters. You will have the opportunity to learn about the manner and the process that the Berber women employ in their cooperatives to create argan oil, which is exclusive to Morocco and can only be obtained in that country. Argan oil is known for its nourishing and moisturizing properties. The excursion comes to an end upon arrival in Marrakech, which might take place either in the late afternoon or evening.

DAY 5: OUARZAZATE – AIT BENHADDOU KASBAH – MARRAKECH:

Following breakfast at your Riad, we will travel to Marrakech, where we will stop at Ait Benhaddou Kasbah on the way. This Kasbah is the largest in all of Morocco and was constructed by Thami El Glaoui, one of the last Berber chieftains. Throughout his long journey from the Desert to Marrakech, it used to be one of his stops along the way. It has since been designated by Unesco as a world heritage site. You will continue on your journey to Marrakech by crossing the High Atlas Mountains via the breathtaking Tizin’tichka Pass, which is 2,260 meters in elevation. You will have the opportunity to learn about the manner and the process that the Berber women use in their cooperatives to produce argan oil, which is unique to Morocco and can only be found there. Arrival in Marrakech in the late afternoon or evening, marking the conclusion of the tour
